The mission:

Remedy bottlenecks delaying the release of new documents within the PLM system created by new Problem Report, Change Request, and Change Notice processes.

QR_'s approach and impact

A team of PDM coordinators were brought in to work at-elbow with the engineering teams to support:

  1. Assigning reviewers to all change objects.
  2. Acting as a point of contact to push approvals and reviews required for documentation releases.
  1. Resolving bottlenecks limiting release throughput time.
  2. Reporting change and release metrics.
  3. Acting as a PLM system technical support function.
  4. Working as PLM system super-users.
  5. Creating and up-issuing documents after changes are approved.
  6. Authoring Product Structure in PLM.
